Eurobirdwatch is held each year on the one weekend (4,5 October), also in many parts of Asia. It is celebrated in several parts of Greece and on Lesvos activities were organized by the Hellenic Ornithological Society and the Network for the Protection of the Wetlands of Lesvos (WWF Greece) and consisted of a birdwatching activity at the Kalloni Salt Pans (for children and adults).
On the 4th and 5th of October is the Eurobirdwatch events days. A paintings’ and craft workshop was held for children at the Skala Kalloni Environmental Center and also birdwatching activity at the Kalloni Salt Pans (for children and adults).
A Little White Egret that was found possibly exhausted in northen Lesvos was released after being treated by local vet M. Tourvali.
