“Lesvos Birdwatching is the BEST! Eleni Galinou was our guide and she is thoroughly knowledgeable about the birds of Lesvos. She knows the residents and the migrants, she knows where to find them, and she knows seasonal facts about the birds. We hired her for a six hour outing, and we covered six locations. At the Kalloni Salt Pans alone, we saw 43 species, a wonderfully productive place for a non-migratory time of year. I would emphasize that although you might go to the salt pans on your own, Eleni knows the details of where to see birds there. And, the other five locations we went to we would never have birded on our own. Eleni brought along a spotting scope, and a bird guide of course. Her English is excellent and she is a great communicator. Lastly I would add that we had a super fun day, and created a lasting friendship.
